This policy explains what information HomeTote Rentals LLC (“HomeTote Rentals,” “we,” or “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email team@HomeToteRentals.com.
1. What we collect
When you send a request on our website, we collect what you enter:
- Your name, email, and phone number, and how you'd like us to reach you
- Your drop-off and pickup addresses
- Your move details, like your package, dates, preferred time, and any notes you add
Payments are handled by Square. We don't see or store your full card number.
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.
2. How we use it
- To answer your request and confirm your dates
- To drop off and pick up your totes
- To send invoices and handle payments, including any fees described in our Rental Terms
- To contact you by phone, text, or email about your rental
We don't send marketing texts. If we ever email you news or offers, you can opt out anytime.
3. Text messages
- When you check the box on our request form, you agree that we may text you about your rental, like confirming dates, scheduling drop-off and pickup, payment reminders, and questions about your move.
- How often we text depends on your rental. Message and data rates may apply.
- Want us to stop? Reply STOP or just tell us, and we'll switch to email or phone.
- We never share your phone number or texting consent with anyone for their marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We only share it with the services that help us run HomeTote Rentals, and only as needed:
- Formspree, which delivers our website's request form to us
- Square, which handles invoices and payments
- Vercel, which hosts our website
- Our email and phone providers, which deliver messages between us
We may also share information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it for your rental, our business records, and taxes. Then we delete it.
6. Your choices
- Want to see, update, or delete your information? Email us and we'll take care of it.
- Prefer we don't text you? Reply STOP or just tell us, and we'll stick to email or phone.
7. Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and only use trusted services to handle it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your details safe.
8. Children
Our rentals are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
